Provider Integration

Postmark

Connect Postmark with a server token and an optional message stream. PostFrame sends through it with full tracking and suppression checks, and moves to another provider when Postmark returns an error.

Why Postmark

Transactional focus
Postmark is built for the messages people are waiting on — password resets, one-time codes, receipts
Separate reputation
Dedicated transactional infrastructure keeps marketing traffic away from your transactional reputation
Message streams
Name the stream when you connect (default: outbound) to keep transactional and broadcast reputation separate
Server token
One server API token connects Postmark — the token lives in the secrets vault
Ideal For
Password reset emails
The messages a customer is sitting and waiting for
Invoice notifications
High inbox placement for financial communications
Welcome sequences
First impressions on a provider built for them
Account alerts
Security notifications that can't afford to land in spam
Questions

Common questions, straight answers.

What do I enter to connect Postmark?

A server API token and, optionally, a message stream name (PostFrame uses "outbound" when you leave it blank). The token is stored in the secrets vault.

Can I keep Postmark as the primary and SES as the fallback?

Yes. Every provider connection carries a priority; PostFrame tries them in order and moves to the next one when a send fails.

What happens when this provider returns an error?

The send moves to your next provider by priority on the same request, up to three attempts. After five failures inside five minutes the provider's circuit opens and it is skipped for sixty seconds before being tried again.

Where are my provider credentials stored?

In the EternalEngine secrets vault. The PostFrame database keeps only a vault path for each provider connection, never the secret itself.
